ROOTED HERE.
ALWAYS MOVING.
Generations of Halifax performers have built this society, one rehearsal, one opening night, one unforgettable moment at a time.
60+YEARS OF STORIESTHE BEST STORIES
ARE MADE TOGETHER.
All Souls began in 1960. What started as a shared love of music and performance became a theatre community that has kept finding new voices for more than six decades.
We honour that history by keeping it alive: preserving programmes and photographs, celebrating the people who came before us, and making space for the people who will shape the next act.
THE JOURNEY
SO FAR.
All Souls Amateur Operatic Society is formed in Halifax.
The society’s first concert brings the music of The Mikado to an audience.
The Mikado becomes the first fully staged production.
After three years at Marlborough Hall, Halifax Playhouse becomes home to the society’s stage productions.
New faces continue to make All Souls their own.
